CUERPO DE BATALLA
For "Cuerpo de Batalla" by La Hucarana, I composed the original music and designed the soundscape for a play that explores eating disorders through the collective voice of its testimonials. I prepared the QLab session for the live shows, synchronizing every cue with lighting and stage movement. The rehearsal process with director Analía Irigoyen and the actresses was key to making sound not just an accompaniment, but an emotional thread running through the piece. It was my first major challenge in theater and it showed me that sound design, when serving the story, can turn a performance into a lived experience.

Carlofrancesco Goldaniga was commissioned for the composition, production, and sound design of both original and adapted musical pieces, as well as the creation of immersive sound material for Analía Irigoyen's original theatrical work, Obscena. In order to align the auditory elements with the dramatic narrative, Carlofrancesco Goldaniga participated in multiple rehearsals, gaining a deep understanding of the tone, rhythm, and atmosphere of the evolving scenes. The actresses, under the guidance of director Analía Irigoyen, were completing a work that remained in progress, making this collaborative process particularly dynamic and insightful.
Carlofrancesco Goldaniga’s responsibilities also included designing the QLab session, which was subsequently executed across the play’s five performances. Additionally, he collaborated closely with the lighting designer, an experience he describes as both innovative and highly instructive.
The production was met with critical acclaim: a compelling, nuanced, and sincere work, enriched with humor, subtle magic, and an essential sensuality that invites the audience to fully inhabit the experience. It is anticipated that Obscena will soon reach wider recognition, offering audiences the opportunity to engage with the work as profoundly as Carlofrancesco Gold
